Celebrating a New Era of Inclusivity: Our 2nd LGU Partnership in Taal
(August 30, 2024)

We are elated to announce a momentous occasion—the official launch of our second partnership with the Local Government Unit of Taal, marking a pivotal step in our ongoing mission to foster inclusivity and community empowerment.

We reached a significant milestone as 27 dedicated parents of differently-abled children engaged in a transformative orientation session. This event, in collaboration with the Open Arms Organization and Taal’s Municipal Social Welfare and Development (MSWD), with key figures Oliver Penaflor and PWD President Flora Remate, demonstrated the power of unity and shared purpose.

With the full support of Hon. Mayor Fugencio "Pong" Mercado and the invaluable leadership of Rod Charlie Delos Reyes (represented by Queenie Arago), this partnership reflects a deep commitment to building a more inclusive society. The formal signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) stands as a testament to our collective vision—a community where every child and family can flourish.

Together, we are forging a path toward greater opportunity, understanding, and compassion.

SRHR4All National Dialogue
(August 19-20, 2024)

We are proud to reflect on Open Arms Organization’s active participation in the SRHR4All National Dialogue hosted by the Women’s Global Network for Reproductive Rights (WGNRR) on August 19-20, 2024. Led by Project Color’s Renee Cahinde and Paola Policarpio of Play with Pao: Your Fairy God-OT, our team joined advocates from various sectors in a thought-provoking exchange centered on advancing sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR).

The dialogue highlighted the vital importance of inclusive voices and cross-sectoral collaboration in ensuring equitable access to SRHR for all. We are deeply honored to have been part of this critical conversation, which further strengthens our commitment to championing comprehensive SRHR initiatives.

As we look forward, Open Arms remains steadfast in its advocacy for a future where sexual and reproductive health and rights are accessible to all, regardless of background or circumstance. Together, we continue to forge pathways toward a more just and empowered society.

"It is a basic human right to have access to opportunities to be able to grow and enjoy life. As individuals, we can contribute on enabling this right to co-create an inclusive society.
